From what my female friends have said to me in the past it's because they see them as some sort of challenge and more interesting than the nice (but boring) guys. I guess I unfortunately fall into the later catergory.

I don't know, but I've noticed it too - they always seem to search for the most complete prick they can find and jump into bed. Bit of a generalisation but it is very often the case.

There's a lot of guys on here that seem to have a real complex about this. Maybe it's not so much that girls like bad boys, more that they don't like insecure men who may have a chip on their shoulder.
