Should i do NCS?

tell me if u have done it and how was it. if i apply online do i have to pay online also or can i not give it in by cash? what do i have to take. do you stay wityh your friends?
You should definitely do it! I did it a couple of years ago and it was the best summer ever. I'm not sure about paying online, and I think the preferred paper method is a cheque. On the NCS website or in an Introductory/welcome pack you usually can find a list of things you need to take. On the first week I think it's stuff like suncream, hat, mosquito and big repellent, rainproof coat etc but again there should be a list you can find on their website. And it depends if your friends are going at the same time. my friends went on the first time, I went on the second. but even if your not with your friends, NCS is a great way to make new friends and most people going would be in the same position, so dont be worried about staying in a room with strangers. Hope this help and you'll have a blast!
because they said the quickest way to geet a place is online but i dont know if i can because my parents are on holiday. i could tell my older brother but you know hes got a temper

it is honestly nothing like they advertise it to be. i thought it was going to be great......i wanted to leave after the first few days :smile::smile::smile:

a couple of girls in my group actually dropped out in the second week
Throughout the duration of GCSE'S I hoped that the Summer that followed would be a memorable one however, it was one I wished to forget.

I did NCS and honestly it was the most traumatic summer of may life . The way the company advertised it made me believe that it would be as summer to be remember however, it was camp for those that were marginalised in their school career which I sadly went on alone. BIG MISTAKE!!!! I should've listened to my friends as they knew that it was a place where people who lacked competent socialisation in their childhood leading them to believe that this programme would inevitably restore their social skills; clearly it did not.

Not to mention the violence that surrounded me such as fights where a girl was left with a bruise the size of goal brewing on her cheek for several days due to the lack of authority from the members of staff who also lived in fear of their life.

Not to put you off but if this is the place for you I would highly recommend it. But remember...... I warned you x
