You have any quotes for Jekyll and Hyde?
how do you write a level 8 english lit essay like what structure would you use? also would you say it is more focused on quantity or quality? as i have heard some people say that it is better to write loads of points in less detail than to write little points with lots of detail, thanks x

Any good quotes for a Christmas Carol?

Okay so for English lit, I would say try to get 3 points from the provided text, 3 from your memory (5 or 6 from your memory if no text). Expand on these significantly (I did 15 - 20 line paras just for one point) and explore every single aspect of your point. You almost have to spell everything out for the examiner! Good luck

Anything you want quotes for in particular or just in general?

Any tips for Romeo and Juliet

General perceptive quotes that I can link to a lot of themes

Romeo and Juliet is all about symbolism. Shakespeare uses loads of it in almost every single quote I used, so really expand on this as much as you physically can.
People doing romeo and Juliet don't realise how lucky they are.

What's your note-taking process for the sciences? What did you find to be the most (and least) effective methods of study? Also, since it's a bit late for GCSE advice :P, do you have any tips for starting A-Levels? Like misconceptions, what not to do, is it worth doing any reading over the summer etc.

How goes the A Levels
So there’s all the usual ones:
“Are there no workhouses”
“Hooded figure” - spirit #3
“Shrouded in darkness” - spirit 3
“Spread gloom and misery wherever it went” - spirit #3
These show the negative connotations dickens made with the selfish attitude Scrooge (and so many other noble men had at that time)
Then there’s some more specialised ones:
“Pointed onwards” and “never spoke” spirit 3
These show that the future is not certain (as the spirit of Christmas yet to come never speaks, so everything it shows Scrooge is subjective to his situation), and even thought Scrooge (an the majority of society) may have been selfish previously, this is dickens demonstrating that they can have another chance.
Which quotes in particular are best to use for A Christmas Carol and The Merchant of Venice? Thanks.
A-Levels are far more difficult than you could ever imagine! I too thought of the possibility of doing fun 5 of them, and I can whole heartedly say I am so thankful I did not. Reading over the summer isn’t a terrible idea, just enough to stay in the loop, but take some time out as you very rarely get any free time at a-level.
For the record, mine are Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths.
For a Christmas carol, other than the ones I’ve listed above, just learn some from Scrooge after he wakes up from the 3rd spirit, and learn how to apply them to different questions.
I didn’t take the merchant of Venice so I can’t help with that one :/

less than that is fine. I have never gotten below an 8 in lit, and i generally write 4 paragraphs per question. 2 from the extract and 2 from my brain.
That’s what I did to get an 8
Have you got any Macbeth/animal farm notes xxx (if not, maybe xmas carol and love poetry?) Or just key things you advise to learn/memorise pls x
