Cardiff Met: What content is covered in the first year of Biomedical Science degree?

I’ve applied to study Healthcare Science (Life Sciences) as a first choice and a Biomedical Science degree as my insurance choice. Is anyone studying at Cardiff Met that knows any books that would be helpful for the courses or what content is covered in the first year please?
