Work Experience placement

Hi,
This year I need to complete one week of work experience, I am only 15 and lots of places want you to be 16 or over. I have emailed five law firms and pharmacies but none of them have replied. I need some new ideas because I need it sorted by the 20th of December. Thanks

Hi! Unfortunately a lot of places do only offer over 16 for health and safety and insurance reasons but a lot of shops (M&S definitely!) do offer placements! I think nurseries and primary schools also do! Luckily your year 10 work experience is primarily just for you to know what the work environment is like. It's the year 12 work experience when you really have a focus on what your career goals are so I wouldn't worry too much!

Some offices offer it but they have to have a insurance, even if they have this insurance they might not have it for certain ages. Law firms, solicitors, hospitals (doctors ect) and police will very rarely offer to U16s
