Yes, potentially yes and yes there are places you can go to do just that.

Except in those circumstances the student would be working under supervision, and where required there would be suitable insurance in place.

I'd say your best friend is taking the pee and isn't as good of a friend as you thought.

I think people know this. But regardless, its better to see a professional or a GP. Then let their friend do it.

yYes you should be upset. She is using you. What actual accreditation has she got from the relevant professional bodies- non it seems. So she shouldn't be charging you anyway and it is unlikely she is a real friend; she's just snatched an opportunity to take advantage of you!
