Year 12s: what will be the first way you research your future options? >>

Im rubbish at understanding people, but why would my colleague say this?

I went in work last week and my 23 year old male colleague (well he's the boss actually) asked me to help him move some photocopying equipment. He led me to the store room I went in first. Another colleague had been hiding in there and jumped out at me they were both laughing at my quiet underreaction so it didn't really work for them . Im extremely quiet/not very approachable/dont make friends easily and don't have great social skills so people don't usually bother to prank me. Im in my 30's, female but I'm even less mature than them so I've been plotting revenge. So I firstly wanted to ask has anyone any ideas? He said that he felt bad for doing it as I was so eager to help. afterwards asked if a part of me was glad they had done it, what did he mean by this why would he ask this??
