This year.

It's a difficult paper because there's so very little time but too much of content. the textbooks by mcnaughton are not very good. I know of people from this forum and elsewhere who've failed the exams 6 times. and i still don't know why they even bother resitting for the exams.

If they follow the patten will liberalism be missed out? My friend actually had the patten of which ideology gets missed out of the 45 markers but she hasn't replied yet.
So conservatism is your strongest ideology?

What grade are you hoping for?

I mean liberalism and conservatism are my strongest ideologies; a nice question would complement that greatly. You get me?

I expect liberalism to be the 2 15 markers; I strongly strongly believe it will. I just can’t see why they would give us a 45 marker on liberalism for a third year in a row???? With that being said, I wouldn’t mind answering it.

I am hoping for A tbh, but not looking likely at the minute.

nope. im thinking of sitting for it but maybe not.

yes many of them failed at least 6 times. one of them lied on this forum that she passed the exams at the third resit and is now studying law at SOAS but she came back recently onto this forum and is once again asking the same old questions she asked before.

anyways these are the old spec questions that a top german school used for its mock exams. they're also doing the edexcel govt and politics legacy papers.

What is meant by an agency problem and what are its possible remedies?
Analyse the doctrine of market failure, its beginnings and the various classifications.
Assess the concept of governmental failures in the UK, how it commences and the various types of such failings.
Democratic societies and non-democratic regimes have differing economic and social policies. How far do you agree?

I doubt they've failed 6 times that doesn't sound right to me. Maybe they're just trolling. What grade did you get?

It hasn't even been three years in a roll that liberalism has come up? 2014 was the last time liberalism didn't appear as a 45 marker

Wow, these are advanced questions. Thanks a lot!

Lool, a lot of people think that because you’re on the keyboard; everyone else is a bafoon 😂. So funny how you sussed her out as well...honestly I’m laughing at how you worded it.

It’s not funny that anybody is resitting by the way, it’s just why lie? You know what I mean...

The exam timings are very tight in this exam. I think the new spec people get 2 hours? But apparently their content is more history. What grade did you get politics? Any tips from your perspective?

That is my point!

That is a lot of times for a 45 marker on the topic. Even longer than what I said previously. I don’t mind a liberalism 45 marker, but honestly don’t see it this year.

I refuse to believe that somebody has resat politics 6 times. Nobody would do that. I think the poster is just trolling. As sad as it sounds people actually get a kick of acting dumb on the internet.

Yeaah,

Tbh you are far more prepared than what your brain thinks.
Also, tomorrow night, please go to bed on time lool. It’s cliche, but I have a feeling you’re one of them ones who stay up late obsessing and stressing.
Original post by MajorFader
Are you revising liberalism and conservatism as well?

Yeh I've gone through both of them quite well tbh
I think for the socialism 45 marker it will be something like "To what extent is socialism defined by its rejection of capitalism?", just imo.

Don't want to forget everything.

What about conservatism?

Is conservatism a single doctrine?

What grade are you aiming for? For 4B; revision for me is strictly looking at 15/45 sample essays.
if I'm not getting at least a B in politics ill be pissed off, but aiming for an A. I've done some revision for 4B but got whole of 3rd afternoon 4th and 5th to worry about 4B. There isnt loads of content for 4B either.
