SEO Civil Service Interview

Hi I have an interview with DEFRA coming up for a SEO position. I really want want this job! Does anyone have any advice for the interview?

What is the role that you've applied for?

I'd be aware of the competency framework / success profiles. This is what they'll be assessing you against. It might say in your job description the specific competencies they're going to be assessing in the interview. Try to think of examples of times you've demonstrated the behaviours that they're looking for. Eg for "Communicating and Influencing" you could have a think about a time you've worked in a team. In the interview you could use the STARR format to structure your answer.

Have a look at the DEFRA site and find out what they're working on currently, and what it is that makes you want to work at DEFRA and in the civil service.
