A Levels & US Universities

Hello, I recently just did my AS and A Levels, and they did not go as well as I hoped.

I am planning on taking a gap year in London (I'm currently studying in Thailand) to study music before heading off to university in the US. Is there anyone here who did A Levels who then went and studied in the US?

Could you tell me what they think of A Levels, etc and what some uni's would say if I didn't get top grades?
I did..
In the US what mainly matters is your SAT/ACT scores, but they also look at your high school transcript.
Once you start uni A levels can help you to skip some classes, because they can be counted as credit for some classes, and, if your A levels are related to what you're studying then it helps you undetstand what's going on more. For example, if I did A level French and I decided to take a french language class in uni, it would really help that I'd done it in A level already... Like you hit the ground running
