HI! I'm doing the causes of the civil war for my NEA, but my teachers have been useless so I have a couple questions about it. First, how long should the sources we use be? And how much are we meant to write about them???

I've got that now as well and am so confused about how to write it...in the first half are we supposed to write it like a mini essay or are we just supposed to talk about the points in relation to our point? My question is ‘In the context of the period 1776 -1861, to what extent was increasing conflict over slavery the most important cause of the American Civil War’.
