5 Points about our dance course - Liverpool Hope University

So in 5 quick and easy steps what is it you need to know about a combined honours dance degree at Hope University?

1. Well Number one is exactly that - It is a combined honours degree. This means that you can study dance alongside another course that you love and come out with a degree in both. We currently offer 14 Subjects to choose from that you can pair alongside the dance course.

2. You will cover a wide variety of content exploring dance as a living social practice and dynamic art form, considering how dance throughout both eastern and western cultures has been cultivated through traditional training practices as well as more contemporary cultural influences.

3. You will be studying at our stunning city-centre creative campus in our dance studios. In addition to the dance studios you will also have 3 black box theatres and our Capstone Theatre to usilitise for your rehearsals or performances.

4. Being close to the city centre we also have active working links with Merseyside Dance Initiative (MDI) and The Everyman Theatre. In your third year placement opportunities with MDI, Wirral Creative Youth Enterprises and various schools are available.

5. During your studies, you will have the opportunity to work alongside professional visiting choreographers and dance artists, performing at our for public audiences as well as developing studio practice through one to one and group seminars and regular dance classes and workshops.

Are you associated with LIPA? I know someone studying English and Dance with you but she tells everyone that she attends LIPA which I thought was a different institution
