Will anything happen if I don't pay library fines?

Haven't stole any books, just got a fine on my account (£14.00 for a locker that was returned one day late).

I've now left uni without paying, is anything likely to happen?

Have you graduated?
I thought degrees were withheld if you had any debts to the university?
It’s £14...why not just pay it then you don’t have to find out...

Have you graduated?

yeah I have!
Not cool not paying a debt when you are at fault. They will probably just write it off. If you get a letter threatening to take you to court, pay up!

Pay the £14

doesn't answer the question tbh
Honestly, I doubt anything will happen. If you've graduated and recieved your degree certificate, then you're in the clear. It will probably cost more than £14 for the university to track you down and send you an invoice for the money and it certainly isn't worth taking you to small claims for. Universities make hundreds of thousands of pound every year from library fines, so they probably would only do something if noone paid them. I'm also sure it's frowned down upon now for Unis to withhold degree certificates for non-academic fines, so it really is in their best interests to forget about it.
You might not be allowed a graduate library account though!

Yes, everybody you love will fall into the void and you will be forever trapped in torment from your own guilt and shame.
