Is it normal that I don't have a bank account?

I am almost 17 and I don't have a bank account yet. Everyone else around me and all my friends have one, and they seem to use it a lot. It's not like if I had one there would be any money in it, lol I'm pretty poor I guess I barely have any loose money on me anyway.
It's unusual not to have one, if that's what you are asking.
Unusual but not abnormal.
Most people under 18 have at least a savings account
You are almost certain to need your own UK bank account when you start working, apply for student finance or receive a monthly allowance from people that you don't share accommodation with.
Slightly off-topic but If you come from a lower-income background, you may be entitled to a bursary from your school/college (which you’ll need a bank account for, so it might be a good idea to set one up anyway).
I didn't get one until I started university at 18. Never needed one before that as I barely had any money and couldn't find a job lol. It's not that weird.

You'll need one if you plan to go to university.
