What's the difference between these 2 courses?

Psychology and Psychology with Clinical Psychology. Like what does the Clinical part add to it. Is it better, more difficult, etc?
Hi there,

I am currently studying a BSc in Psychology at the University of Surrey. Hopefully I can be of some help.

A straight psychology course will allow you delve into different parts of Psychology such as cognitive psychology, social psychology etc. With Psychology with Clinical Psychology you will still be bale to delve into many different parts of Psychology however the difference is that you will learn more in-depth information about Clinical Psychology compared to just studying Psychology.

If you want to go into a career with Clinical Psychology then it may make sense to do the Psychology with Clinical Psychology degree, however if you do not want a career in Clinical Psychology then just studying Psychology would be better as you are not specializing more in depth with something you don't want to do if that makes sense.

I wouldn't say the addition of clinical makes it better or worse in terms of the course, it will make it better for you if you personally want a career in that area.

I hope this helps, please ask any questions you may have

I imagine it would be more specialised than just a pure Psychology course. Whether that’s better or not is for you to decide - do you want a more focused uni course at this stage, or would you prefer something broader?
