Continuing education with a HND/Incomplete BSc?

Hi,

I studied computer science a few years ago, and due to some outside factors, I had a bit of a breakdown and failed my final year in 2016. I was given a HND by my university but I'd like to continue and have an undergraduate degree.

Do I have any affordable options to do this? I don't think I qualify for full student loans but I'd be open to online school or part time even.
You could apply for credit transfer with the Open University. They assess how much credit can be transferred to one of their degrees (you get three choices to apply for) and then you choose which you want to register on.

If you’re eligible for student loans and don’t have a degree you should be able to get it funded by them. (Depends on which country you’re in)

Many Unis offer 'top up degrees' for exactly this situation - you just do the extra one year study to get the degree, you dont have to do the full degree. This means you wouldn't 'run out of' SF, you only need one year.

Some examples :
Hertfordshire : https://www.herts.ac.uk/courses/undergraduate/bsc-hons-computer-science-top-up It needs 240 Credits from BTEC HND or Foundation degree in computer studies or software engineering or equivalent qualification.

Derby : https://www.derby.ac.uk/online/computing-courses/computing-and-information-technologies-top-up-bsc-hons-online/ It needs 'HND or foundation degree in a Computing subject' no mention of grades.

Plenty of options. Most unis have a tie-up with FE colleges in the same town and will take their HND students onto the degree programmes to help students top-up to a degree. Several unis offer online Computer Science degrees and all 'should' accept you with your HND qualification - either into the 2nd year or final year of their programme (depending on how well you did on your HND).
