Help with Henry VIII History essay

If anyone could help with this history essay that'd be really helpful:

'Henry VIII failed his foreign policy objectives from 1509-1529'
Assess the validity of this view.

Personally I would define what his main objectives were and then go through around three and discuss whether they succeeded or failed in order to come to your conclusion. I would discuss protection of national security, protection of the Tudor dynasty and personal gain (e.g. the capture of Therouanne and Tournai and the Gascony expedition). You can choose other factors if you believe they’re more important though (but don’t do religion as that wasn’t a factor until 1533). Make sure you include lots of specific dates and the names of events and treaties! I’m a year 13 student who has just finished the Tudor Foreign Policy course so let me know if you have any other questions :biggrin:
