Accommodation in Exeter
I am an exchange student (searching for a short stay: from September 2021 to January 2022) from a french university and currently I am in Malaysia. My academic year will start in mid September. Is there any suggestion, tips or help to get an accommodation in Exeter as it is super hard to get one.

Student housing here simply does not exist.
There are more students than houses, they've admitted too many.
I personally know of a dozen students sofa surfing.
Students are homeless, dropping out and living in London because they can't find anywhere. It's not lack of money that's their problem, it's lack of availability.
There are 200 people going for every room.
London is better for affordable housing too.
If you can go to a different university, go.
Rentals stay on the market 6 hours in my experience.Spoke to an estate agent. Houses sell within 24-48 hours for 10-20% over the asking price.
This is going to be too late for you, but I hope someone else will heed my warning.
