Which accomodation is best for a law student at Exeter staying on Streatham Campus?

Im joining Exeter for my year 2 and 3 , I was wondering if anyone knows the best accom which is closest to the law facilities and has a chill reputation.
I can’t really make a recommendation since I’m also a new incoming student, however I did a lot of research and found Holland Hall to be the nicest accomodation if you can afford it. I actually choose it and then just after got a separate offer of accomodation privately, but in order to cancel I need to get someone else to take the room I would’ve taken . It’s mad annoying. Anyways tho, if u end up choosing holland hall, hmu and I’ll even give u like 100-200 euros jus for helping me out .

Hi! Great to hear you'll be coming along to Exeter in September!

Firstly, in terms of law facilities, teaching for most subjects tends to be based around several buildings on campus, so it's rare that you'll always be in the same place. The academic hub for Law is based in the Amory Building - so this is likely where your lecturers' offices will be based, and it is a good place to go if you have course-related questions or require academic support - however it is likely that your teaching may also be based in buildings such as Queen's, the Forum, and the Business School. All of these buildings are very central, so in terms of accommodation it is worth looking at how far it is from central campus - people often use the Forum as a reference for this. This map gives an indication of how far a walk each accommodation is from the Forum.

As you will see on the map, the majority of university-owned accommodations are within a 15 minute walk of central campus. I was in East Park in first year, which was a really convenient location, and my flat were quite relaxed and not huge partiers. St Germans, Rowe House and Mardon Hall come to mind as central and smaller accommodations with chilled and friendly reputations. If you're looking for quieter flatmates, it is an option on your accommodation application form to request living in a quiet block, but whether you select this option or not, my experience is that there is a range of people in all accommodations so no one accommodation has a hugely distinct 'personality'.

I hope this helps - let me know if there's anything else I can help with!
