Last Minute Registration

Has any one had any experience with this? I've been debating for the last couple of months what to do and decided today finally on my plan of action. I tried to register for the individual module I wanted to do as it is in several different degrees i had considered. This module starts only once a year in October. I had hoped of doing the other one that starts at the end of January with a few months overlap but it says it is now full.

So i registered to do the Certificate in Natural Sciences and could probably cope doing it full time but it says I will hear back in 5 to 10days but registration closes Thursday.

Is this a case of me sadly leaving it too late and i'll just have to wait? Just sadly changes the long term plan i had

My friend registered on her qualification on Tuesday at 1am and was up and running registering on her module at 10am. So it shouldn’t be too late as long as you have registered before the closing date tomorrow. Modules don’t start for another few weeks anyways. Unfortunately some modules do fill up fast though

Thanks but unfortunately I think I have suffered the consequences of not making my mind up sooner. It did come through but it says the modules are full sadly, if i'd of known how the whole thing worked I should have registered a few months back when I first started looking but nothing I can do now

Did it offer you a waiting list?

It offered a chance to be put on a list incase any one dropped out and a space became available but considering that has to happen before midnight tomorrow and there is probably others already waiting I highly doubt this will happen

It can happen all the way up til module start date and beyond.
Plus they may be in the process of hiring extra tutors. Don’t give up yet.
I’ve seen it happen many a time.
