Open Uni vs University of London

I haven't been able to find much on how the University of London works online for a BSc in Marketing. The Open uni seems like it has a lot of student support but the recognition is what I am worried about as I am from America and am envisioning my career in the UK. On the other hand, UoL is more prestigious in terms but I do not know how much student support it offers. I am only 20 years old and have graduated High School but do not want to study in an American uni as the curriculum is so broad and you are required to take classes that are unrelated to your course ---something UK and Australian unis don't do which I prefer. I cannot travel which is why I am looking to do a Bachelor's online. Can I have some input on both Unis?
