Tips/ideas for a Personal Statement for Nursing?

She hasn't got any proper experience. But she did, for one day a week, for a year, go and chat to the inmates at an old folks' home. And she worked for a year in a veterinary surgery - reception, admin and also basically doing a lot of the same work as vet nurses. How do you rate her chances based on this? She wanted to send me some ciggies as a thank you but I refused - and I didn't tell her why cos I didn't wanna pee over her parade, but I wasn't sure how I rated her chances without even having shadowed a proper nurse for a bit. And she can't get any work exp now until after Xmas cos she works in retail and it's turning into the stuff of nightmares, apparently. What do you think? Be brutal, I won't tell her!
