Do Irish universities require a personal statement?

Hi, I want to apply to Irish unis (Trinity and UCD) as undergraduate. I can't seem to find on their page whether these require motivation letters/personal statements, just to apply via CAO. Does anyone know if they do require these as part of the documents?
No personal statement is needed. Entry via CAO is purely based on the points you achieve from your results.

See http://www2.cao.ie/handbook/handbook2022/hb.pdf for information. I presume a 2023 edition will be release at some point.
