Get a proper taste of the university and course of your interest

Taster Days are exclusive events for applicants and offer holders taking place throughout the year. Why should you be interested? There are plenty of reasons. I will briefly elaborate on them. The main goal is to help you prepare for your first year of study at DMU.

Get to know your lecturers and tutors
It is a fantastic chance to ask any questions regarding your course of interest, the way it is taught, specific modules and assignments. The more you know, the better prepared you are. In the long run, it allows you to make the most of your university and student life.

Get to speak to current students
We are there to speak about how the courses and all the other stuff associated with university look like from our perspective. We have already transitioned, so we are equipped with many useful tips about how to manage and balance university, private life, and sometimes work.

Get to network with your future classmates
There is strong evidence that friends play a fundamental role while transitioning into university. Therefore, do not miss out on a chance to meet your future classmates, connect with them and start planning your first amazing year together.

Get to take part in a taster lecture in the course of your interest
Aren’t you wondering what your classes will look like? During a Taster Day, you can take part in a real and proper lecture session with one of the academics. Doesn’t it sound exciting? It will be different from what you are familiar with. Seeing that will allow you to reflect on the difference and get prepared for the new journey.

Get to explore the brilliant facilities DMU offers
Taster Days take place in the main faculties’ buildings so that you have also a chance to take a tour and find out about the facilities each of them offers. I hope it is a critical point for you, as professional facilities are directly responsible for the quality of education.
