Is it bad for an ex-manager to date team-member?

I’m just left a role where I was a Team leader to a team of 10.

One of my team members was someone who I got along with well and there was definitely something there, which I believe is reciprocated, but of course I didn’t ever pursue it as I was his manager.

Now that I’ve left the job, would it be bad if we began getting to know eachother/dating?

If your new job is with a different company what issue could there be?
Nah no one will care. I dunno if a team leader even counts as a authority figure tbh.

True, I still work within the department though (but different office). I just dont wish to be penalised for it - feels kinda wrong haha

True I was only a grade up from him, not senior management

If you have left the job, I see no problem with it. As long as he feels the same way, what can go wrong?

It’s fine, why would it not be?
