Feline leukemia virus (FeLV) is a significant health risk to cats worldwide, and the most common cause of feline cancer.
but it is very rare just wash your cat regularly to kill bacteria and etc.

In my experience of owning cats for years, I haven't had any issues with cats having diseases. I wold assume they would catch them if they were not looked after properly without regular trips to the vet.
