Is £18000 BEFORE tax enough to live in Leeds, UK?
I applied for a trainee recruitment consultant job in Leeds. It says the salary is 18,000 BEFORE tax. Is that enough? After tax, I would be earning 1300 - this is according to Google. Rent would be £700. Is £600 enough to live on? 🤔
If you are living in your own, £600 a month is around £150 a week so that’s got to include bills, food and anything else. It’s definitely doable but you may have to sacrifice some luxuries and it wouldn’t leave you with much of a safety net. I assume if it’s recruiting there’s an opportunity for commission so that’s also something to consider!
