With BTEC there is a lot of coursework but with A Level is it as much as BTEC

BTECS are not easier. There are now exams in all of them (between 4 and 6 depending on size and subject).
The coursework units have three or four assignments and for example Business Unit 1 assignment 1 of 3 averages about 45 pages.
