Going to uni in my mid 20s?

I decided to go straight into employment after completing my a levels.
I'm thinking of going to university in about 5 or 6 years, when I'll be in my mid 20s.
I didn't go straight away as I wanted a job for a few years, where I gained experience working with customers.
Will this hinder my uni application?

Hi @2024MM,

That’s great news that you want to return to education!

Your age shouldn’t impact your application and there is some great help and advice on the UCAS website. The link is below…

I know many students at my university of so many different ages, there is no ‘ideal’ age to go to university, just when best suits you. And I’m sure the experience you’ve gained while working will also help you at university.

Hope this helps,

Hi Emily,

Thanks for your reply, the information you provided is useful. And yes - I think my job experience will help foster a good study ethic if I was to attend university.
