Most of these are not spiritual whatsoever
I agree with the above, most of these are just the non-spiritual common sense platitudes we hear all the time.

Though well meaning and offering better "karma" that their opposites they still basically say
do your best

humanism, laws.
The Old Testament law was good but didn't change people, faith in the operation of God does . . .

For me, my gut instinct always warns me in advance that if I do x or y one day I will deeply regret having chosen to do x or y.
Whenever I have chosen to try to ignore what my gut instinct has been repeatedly telling me, it never ends well.

Ah yes. I call it "don't do stupid stuff". I still struggle to follow it.
