I agree with the above, most of these are just the non-spiritual common sense platitudes we hear all the time.
"Do only what you do not regret and fill yourself with joy.”
"Happy people build their inner world, unhappy people blame their outer world".
"Freedom is not given to use by anyone, we have to cultivate it ourselves".
"Above all, remember that the meaning of life is to build a life as if it were a work of art.”
"Make each moment an occassion to live deeply, happily, in peace".
"Our own life has to be our own message".
"Happy people build their inner world, unhappy people blame their outer world".

Though well meaning and offering better "karma" that their opposites they still basically say
do your best
humanism, laws.
The Old Testament law was good but didn't change people, faith in the operation of God does . . .

For me, my gut instinct always warns me in advance that if I do x or y one day I will deeply regret having chosen to do x or y.
Whenever I have chosen to try to ignore what my gut instinct has been repeatedly telling me, it never ends well.
