joint-masters to PhD requirements

Can you enter a PhD program if you have done an integrated joint-masters? For example if you did 'chemistry and mathematics' (MSci), and would like to do a PhD in mathematics
Depends on what the PhD project is on and what you covered on the relevant half of your course. If you haven't done any of the relevant background (e.g. you want to do an organic chem PhD but stopped taking organic modules in year 1 of the degree) then it's unlikely you will be a competitive prospect for that PhD project. I imagine there will invariably be some PhD projects on either side that you would have a good background for though (unless you took REALLY random selections of modules...one would hope your programme structure and/or personal tutor would have saved you from yourself before that happened though).
