A level resits

Hi I have some questions about resitting as I think I might have to since I didnt do very well in my exams, I don't think I can resit at my school because they don't take resits and I have been looking at schools in my area that may do resits but I cant seem to find any, and some do my subjects but not the exam board im doing.
I prefer resitting as a private candidate so do I have to just sign up to an exam centre or sth like that? and self study?

As a private candidate you self study for the exam and find/pay an exam centre to do your entries. Tell them if you have any non-examined assessment results that need to be carried forward. The JCQ web site might help you find a centre if you need one.

thank you! I searched on the website and the schools that do take resits either don’t do my subject or not the exam board tho, does that mean no one can do my entries then?? and there’s only one in my town?? the others are in other cities nearby like surrey and london but does that mean i have to travel there for the exams?

In theory, it is possible for a school/college to enter you for an exam they don't offer to their own students. In practice though they are unlikely to do it as it increases the admin complexity of delivering their exams. Private schools that make a business of offering exams and specialist exam centres are more likely to be flexible. If you can't find a local centre and are unable to persuade your current school to help you then yes you are going to have to travel to somewhere that will accommodate your requirements.
