Can my old college let me leave with a failed GCSE resit?
I left school in 2019 with a level 3 GCSE in English. The college I applied for required me to have a level 4 to enter but they let me on if I did a resit and passed. The first resit I did, all students failed because our old teacher left the college after our exams with all the papers. So the entire resit class had to do it again. Now the second year we had a new teacher who was not great, about 60% of the class failed including me with again, a level 3 in English. My question is can they let an 18 year old on his second resit, leave college after completing his Level 2 car mechanics course?
They let me go through 2 years of training for my level 2 in car mechanics and leave with the Level 2 qualification and a Failed English GSCE resit.
