Is an MSc Data Science + Mathematics in UK worth it?
I am from India and I have an undergrad degree in Civil Engineering. I want to switch to the field of Data Science and I have recently received an offer from the University of Stirling, UK. Is it worth going for it and can I expect to get a job in the UK if I get a distinction in the course>
If you plan to work in the field, switching to data science can be a valuable career move, but the UK job market is competitive even with a distinction. The demand for international graduates is lesser and lesser due to the availability of local graduates who have similar qualifications and do not require a work visa. Stirling has a good reputation but isn't a top-tier university that guarantees you a job. Consider the challenges and be ready to invest your time and effort if you choose this path.
