University degree appeals

I got a 2:2 with a 58% off a 2:1. I am appealing on ground of extentuating circumstance. Is this even appealing knowing appeals are hardly successful.

It depends on nature of the mitigation and why that mitigation was not disclosed prior to the exam period/exam board meeting.
mitigating circumstances should have been submitted by you before sitting the module exams or submitting the assignments. Even up to 2 weeks after a module mark was officially released to you there was a window where you could appeal on the grounds of mitigating circumstances. Thus in S1 any modules you felt were affected by your circumstances, you should have appealed for. Ditto for S2. If you did not appeal during these appeal windows then its too late now.
