Is a crossbody bag a matter of style or a must ?

As a student college, do you think a shoulder bag is matter of style or a must to keep your stuff ? What are the specifications that you think mostrly suits you ? Do you prefee canvas, leather or another material?

It's just an individual preference. I've been told the canvas messenger bags are actually no longer in fashion, I just use them out of familiarity...

That said they're actually a bit of a pain (literally) as they unevenly spread the load on your shoulders and kinda **** them up if you carry even a moderate amount of stuff around regularly.

I'd probably suggest just an actual backpack really if you aren't already using a shoulder bag.
