KCL Economics

I'm currently in year 12 studying Maths, Economics and Psychology, and have just been predicted A*A*A (Maths was the A, unfortunately). I'm really inclined to apply to KCL however, there is one thing hindering me - my GCSE results. I got 556666788. Obviously, I'm planning to apply for lower-ranked Russell groups, such as Liverpool and Leicester, but I'd love a chance to go to KCL. I am also aware of the fact that my course is extremely competitive. Should I apply to KCL, or give up on my dream?
I would say apply if it's your dream, you're only in year 12 so have plenty of time to improve your grades and do really well in your A levels. My teachers always told me it's better to apply to at least 1 university with high entry requirements (KCL in your case) and then the rest of the universities with mid/low entry requirements that you would still be happy attending as a back up. I hope this helps. Goodluck! I believe in you.
