Go away with people who are actually your friends and will look out for you?
One thing my friendship group also use on trips is Splitwise to make sure we're all keeping up to date with costs and who owes who. We always try to book things together and share all the documents e.g. insurance, booking confirmations, travel updates and addresses. This helps us make sure that we can also make back ups of digital and physical copies, whilst also sharing our travel plans with our friends and family back home!

- Agree on a meeting point in advance in case you get separated, preferably somewhere that’s easy to spot from afar like a tall building or place with a memorable name.
- If you do split off from the group try to stick in pairs, being in a 2 in much better than being alone.
- Keep the address of your accommodation with you on a night out! I’ve seen people with it on a business card or scrap piece of paper or even written on the back of their hand!
- I also really recommend getting an app like Life360 to keep track of everyone in your group in case someone gets lost!
