Working in education

I've been working in a school for the past 2 years as an LSA. I go back in September (into a different role) and I feel like I would literally rather do anything else than go back. I feel this way every half term that's longer than a week. I'm fine when I go back but every break, I feel this way. Does this happen to anyone else?

I genuinely feel like I could quit and go work in a shop and be happy and never look back.

I had times like this in a school. Not in HE, though.

Before you make such a drastic decision, get a part time job in a shop and see just how green the grass on the other side really is. Bear in mind that if you worked in a shop, you would probably be on minimum wage with 20 days annual leave a year. Those one week breaks will feel like total an utter luxury compared to the 13 weeks you currently enjoy.
