Hi,

This is a great question. The university of Kent has a variety of options that cater to peoples budget and preferences which can be found here. Everyone is different so you may want to think about your own budget, whether you want an en-suite or not, whether you want to live in a self-catered accommodation or not. My advice would be to have a look at what we offer here: https://www.kent.ac.uk/accommodation/canterbury/find-my-room and write a pros and cons list for yourself for each option.

For more advice on deciding which accommodation is right for you there is a blog here that is full of advice to help you make an informed decision. Living on campus in your first year can help you make friends and become familiar with Canterbury so it is a great option!

I personally do not live on campus and commute from home but many of my university friends have lived on campus. I had a friend who loved living on campus so much in Keynes that she stayed on campus in her second and final year!
