A full new PS? No not for most universities
BUT it’s a good idea to put together 3-5 bullet points summarising your reasons for picking the new subject and some relevant experiences/topics you’ve enjoyed.
For a start it’ll help you solidify your decision but it also means that you’ll be prepared if you’re asked about your decision to change course over the phone. And if a university does ask for a new PS it shouldn’t take long to transform your bullet points into a few paragraphs.
