Living off student loans

What if your parents make enough and stuff but just don’t pay for you? Like they’re telling me I have to take out loans for rent and food and living stuff, but how am I supposed to get the loans if it’s based off of how much they make?

You apply for a tuition fee and maintenance loan. Only a part of the maintenance loan is based on household income so you would get some no matter what you parents' income. It is expected that parents top up maintenance loans if they are not awarded the maxiumum.
