medicine tuiton fees

Out of curiosity i was wondering how much it costs to become a doctor in the uk? including all costs like tuition etc. Also how long does it take to pay off the debt (assuming u make x amount of money)

At the moment tuition fees are £9,250 per year. For the first four years you will be able to apply for student finance for tuition fee and maintenance loans. Maintenance loans are means tested according to household income. You start making repayments the April after you leave uni and once you earn over £25,000 per year. You pay 9% of anything you earn over the threshold. You make the payments for 40 years or until your loans are paid off - whichever comes first. For year 5 (and 6), you apply to the NHS Bursary for tuition fee funding and a means-tested living allowance. You will also be able to apply for a reduced maintenance loan during these years.
