dental hygiene and therapy

when writing a personal statement for dental hygiene and therapy, should i make sure to not use the word dentist? i have clearly written dental hygiene and therapy in my introduction but i have used the words dentist (when referring to my work experience) and dentistry quite a few times. is this okay, or should i remove them?

mentioning dentistry is fine because a dental therapist is, at the end of the day, practicing dentistry. if you went to a dentist for work experience, just say that you went to a dentist. maybe write about out the types of dental treatment you saw that both dentist and dental therapist/hygienists do.

1.

Show your genuine interest in dental hygiene. Explain what specifically draws you to this field—whether it's a personal experience, a passion for oral health etc

2.

Highlight any relevant experiences, such as shadowing dentists or dental hygienists, volunteering or participating in dental-related activities. Discuss how these experiences have shaped your understanding of the field and reinforced your commitment.

3.

Emphasize the skills and qualities that make a good dental hygienist, such as attention to detail, communication skills, empathy, manual dexterity, and the ability to work in a team.

4.

Mention academic achievements or courses that relate to dental hygiene. Discuss how these courses have prepared you for further study in this field.

5.

Explain your long-term aspirations -whether it's specialising in a particular area, contributing to research, or engaging in community dental health, talk abt your vision for your career.
