Network like crazy

Tailor your CV - most of your education would be irrelevant
•
Include industry recognised and industry specific qualifications where relevant - especially if cheap, easy to do, and can be obtained over a few days
•
Apply to temp agencies
•
Be open to manual labour
•
Go for small and medium companies and apply speculatively - ideally get word from your network before handing in your CV
•
Don't necessarily go for highly regulated industries unless they're closely related to what you're studying/want to do later in life
