Can I lie to a landlord that I’m not a student
A lot of private landlords aren’t accepting students. I’m a final year student who’s working part time so I know I can afford the rent.
If I lie would I pay council tax

should I apply for the council tax exemption online in hope that the landlord won’t receive a letter saying I applied.

Well, if you put yourself forward for student council tax exemption and your landlord finds out about this, he has grounds to terminate your tenancy as you have deliberately gone against his terms.
