The Student Room Group

Housemate is probably an escort...

She has different men visiting at night.
Lives way beyond her means- student with a part-time coffee shop job. Went on holiday to Dubai, has weekly asos/ shien deliveries and a huge weed habit to support.
Has a very sexy profile pic on WhatsApp.
Should I tell the landlord?

Why would you? If it’s not impacting your life, mind your business.

because she is bringing risk into my house and hasn't had the curtesy to communicate it to me.

Well, you've already said you're thinking about dobbing her in to the landlord, so she probably has clocked you as not being terribly trustworthy about her private business.

Also beyond her being rich, popular with guys and having "a very sexy profile pic on WhatsApp" you don't know what she does for a living.

Much like the OP's housemate, I bet there was a lot of coming and going.

That's kind of entitled of you to make her curtsey when she wants to speak to you.

I've spoken with her a grand total of 1 times. She's a student who works a shift a week at Starbucks. Her life style doesn't add up.

If she's an escort she doesn't need to work one shift a week on minimum wage.

escorting is a very isolating job. I'd guess she wants the company. Perhaps the job is from before she started and she's never gotten out of the habit.

Conversely if you are having a lot of hook ups why not monetise it?

You seem to know a lot about escorting. Presumably you have experience?

You're frustrated that someone you've spoken to once hasn't disclosed to you that they're an escort?
Maybe if you made the effort to get to know her a bit more rather than making assumptions about her lifestyle based on limited information, she'd be more inclined to open up to you?

If you friend is an escort, she will most likely be live on the following sites: adultwork or vivasteet escorts.

And absolutely you need to report to the landlord. I can promise you one thing, she will get a "crazy" customer one day and put everyone in harms way, its simply a case of when not if.

If she's actually a prozzie, then yeah report it, it's a home not a knock in shop. Could get everyone else in bother, especially with the kind of scumbags that avail themselves of a prostitute.
Could it just be that she has a different morality/ perspective on this than you?

It seems.like a bit of a massive assumption to say oh yeah based on this she is an ezcort.

However, that said, do you have house meetings ? If not, perhaps a good idea, get to know each other have a house meal anmonth when you can bring household issues up in an informal session.

Could be about getting to know eachother in the first instance, and then cover stuff like house chores, guests etc. Even if a housemate isn't being paid by "clients" a constant stream of unknown people around can be difficult for example them using kitchen stuff.

Boyfriend of ex flatmate used to drink all of the milk. Anybodies milk every time he visited and would never pay. Getting up to go to college and finding no milk for my coffee 🤯 so thr little things can add up. Another flat mates partner was more kitchen friendly but less bathroom trained. It's difficult but you do have to address these things, but only once you know the flatmate.

Be sure of your facts before you blow up the whole house !
