Switching Schools Between Year 1 and Year 2 of IBDP

I will most likely be needing to leave my school at the end of this school year (my year 1 in IB), I want to know how difficult it will be to switch to another IB school and continue the diploma at a different school for my 2nd year. Does anyone have experience with this? Is the idea of going to another IB school a better option or switching to online IB, I'm just really confused.
I know of two people who have done this. You'll probably have to catch up but it might be best to check the curriculums in case they're different. In History, for example, there is quite a choice for teachers to choose what to teach, I think. What subjects are you doing?
