How do I ask a guy to meet up in a subtle way

Hi, me again. The reason why I have resorted to this forum is because I had quite severe health problems, missed a bunch of school, stopped talking to the outside world and got diagnosed with autism all in the same year so my ability to talk to boys is not great. How fun. (Not) Now, I’ve been reading the replies and I completely agree, talking online without face to face communication can get boring. He is such a nice guy and I want to make things work. I’m scared that he’ll turn me down if I ask to meet up with him. How do I ask him out in the most subtle and casual way possible. Thank you for all the replies!!

Be direct; no point in being subtle:

"Would you like to meet me for coffee/lunch/a drink on **insert day**?"

Meeting for coffee is a more informal starting point or you could invite him to join you at something where there are other people going too. Or just go for it with ‘do you fancy meeting up for a drink sometime’
