At Majority of universities you'll be doing about a 42-45 weeks academic term and the rest of the time is annual leave. You might get some more time off than your annual leave as depends on how the university worked out your timetable for the year.
Normally you are of for Xmas and new year, also Easter time and generally about a week to ten days at the end of the academic year before you start the new academic year and any other holidays the university has allocated for you.

Possibility you'll be either working on placement over the summer months or attending university studying weeks as you don't get summer months of like any other university courses.

Good luck with your student nursing.

I just qualified as a adult nurse this summer.

Hi,

It really does vary from university to university but the average annual leave for a student nurse is between 6-8 weeks of annual leave spaced out throughout the year. The rest of the year will be split between placement and university teaching.

Best wishes,
